I FINALLY caught the movie Avatar today, in 3D!! Hahaz! Awesome movie, i have to say the director and producers are just so imaginative and creative lah! Really love the movie.. And to top up the whole experience, i was able to savour 3/4 tub of a LARGE POPCORN.. Hahaz!

I went back for training today, which i ran 10km.. Then did this set, cannot remember the name, but Grace has a terrific name for it.. But if i say it, my blog would be shut down immediately.. HAHAZ!

So today, i spent 1 hour running 10km, 20mins doing drill set and 3 hours stuffing popcorn into my mouth.. So to sum up today, i ran 10km just to eat popcorn.. Awesome is the word..

Muah brother is back!

Yipee! My bro is back on the sunny island!! But i have got to work next week, so i will not be able to catch up much with him.. Oh wells, i need the money so that i can spend!

Well, this week has been interesting to me.. As usual, i stayed home most of the time, not going out and all.. I kinda seem to not feel like going out.. And i do not know why.. It seems that i have lost the spontaneous me to just go out and chill.. I seem to prefer the peace of staying home, rotting my butt away.. Oh wells, i am trying to find my inner self..

So this week, i did quite a few things.. I met up with Khairul to treat him a little humble birthday lunch.. I met up with my lovely poly babes and Chaplin, caught up, exchanged Christmas gifts and had a GREAT time.. I am so glad that everytime we meet up, it is a great moment spent together.. I baked pineapple tarts and biscotti with the NEW TEFAL OVEN that my dad got me for my 21st birthday present, made Tiramisu for my god-family, had a VEGETARIAN pre-christmas dinner with my parents (I had a vegetarian turkey and i must say, it tastes better than a REAL turkey!), cooked dinner for my family on Christmas eve (Minestrone soup and cranberry and chicken salad), spent Christmas by watching Bodyguards and Assassins with my mum and dad and went to pay my respects to my grandma on Christmas day.. Well, i guess this is pretty much things that has been done over the week..

Okie, the best way to do this is to post up some photos.. As in really some.. Oh yah, i attended my god-cousin's wedding last Sunday, and i had a great time, with two professionals, Lisa and Charity to have done my make up.. Feel the love babes.. Hope that you all are enjoying your Christmas and camp.. =)

1 week and a few days..

TIME IS FLYING MAN! 1 week has passed since i came back.. Have not been doing much though cause i was sick, so was like resting at home for a few days.. But i also did come exciting stuff like eat CHILLI and PEPPER CRAB at Jumbo while celebrating my cousin's birthday, watched Menopause the Musical with my mum and dad, finally had my AH PEK ice cream today and other Singapore cuisines!

Met up with Evee on Hari Raya Haji.. It is always so comforting and encouraging to see her.. She treat me to DELICIOUS Hokkien Prawn Mee and Barley.. We had a really great chat, updating one another about ourselves and also listening to one another.. It is really amazing that we do not get to meet often, but when we do, the bond is still as strong and i am sure we can go on and on if time permits.. Hahaz!

Yesterday was a exciting day for me.. Spent half the day with family, had breakfast, then went to Courts and Ikea, then wanted to go have AWESOME vegetarian food at Chinatown but was closed.. So we headed down to Tanjong Rhu for traditional Kaya toast and coffee.. When we reached there, CLOSED! So never mind.. We took a short walk to this coffee shop and i had AWESOME FAN CHOI! And SIEW MAI!! But the Lor Mai Kai was disappointing.. Oh wells, better than nothing! Then had a SUPER AROMATIC cup of kopi.. After that had ICE KACHANG AND CHENG TNG!! Shoikness lah.. My parents love me!! Hahaz..

then in the evening, met up with Candice, Shi Hui and Hazel.. Hahaz.. We ate at Changing Appetites.. I shared Fajitas with Shi Hui, both of us were too full.. Then we all shared a Cookies N Cream MUDPIE! SHOIK LAH!! My first time eating there, not bad!! =) Had a great chat with the babes as always.. Making loads of jokes revolving SHINGZ and BOOMS (Hopefully i spelled them correctly).. HAHAZ!

Today had a GREAT shopping day with my mum! I bought a pair of pumps, a handbag (like SUPER FINALLY).. OH! KFC's Breakfast IS SUPERLICIOUS LAH! I had the eggs and waffles which is DAMN SHOIK! Then my mum likes the american twister/wrap cause got bacon.. The porridge seems really popular too.. I should head there again soon, with both my mum and dad next time..

Tomorrow i have got an interview to go for! So exciting yet nervous!! Part time job as a waitress if i am not wrong.. Well, some people might think, "HUH? You undergraduate then go become waitress ah?" To me, well, it is a DECENT job, and i am only back for 3 months, and it is at a reputable hotel and i will get an income while adding credit to my resume in future.. So why not?

Also thinking of going back to banquet, intending to request if they can allow me to take up a more leadership position or role so that i can learn how to lead and handle matters.. Need to email my manager.. Suppose to meet him, but due to MANY circumstances, seem to not have the fate.. Oh wells, i shall email him soon and see what his response is then..

Okie! I shall head to bed cause i am freaking tired.. Been sleeping late but waking up early.. Oh my, sometimes i am so frustrated that i cannot get back to sleep.. A nice family photo to make my first week back home.. Cannot wait for my brother to be back!

The noise is officially home!! Okie, actually since Thursday lah.. But was busy doing this and that, unpacking and catching up with my parents so got no time to blog.. Hahaz..

I am SO HAPPY TO BE BACK LAH! THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME!! Woke up to the smell of Char Bee Hoon yesterday morning at 7am! Hahaz.. That is 9am Brissie time... I think my body still not adjusted yet, woke up at 6am today lah! OMG, i can imagine the Campus View babes must be thinking i am crazy, holiday le still wake up so early~

Hahaz.. Okie, i shall get back to slacking around in the house then.. Cheers people! =)

6 more D-A-Y-S!

I shall start off my entry today with a verse being shared with me:

This is the inspiration of the day.. Everyday in fact.. We go through so much dirt and sucky moments, thinking that why does this have to happen to us? Well, it is the same as making a cake.. If you were to eat EACH of the ingredients such as the flour, butter or eggs on its own, it would be DAMN disgusting.. But when you put them ALL TOGETHER, bake it, it becomes a DELICIOUS cake! This is life, where the elements are being thrown at you, to make you stronger.. The end result, you are able to handle things better, learning more about life, gaining new insights and experiences.. So whenever things get you down, i hope you can remember this verse or phrase, or simply, have a piece of CAKE! =)

I THINK i am super burned out.. I have decided to really STOP studying since 3pm today when i have 3 papers starting from tomorrow to Wednesday.. I think the problem here is that my papers are too far apart, thus after studying since last Wednesday till now, i can no longer take it.. Last night it was like a hint from above to watch TV, cause there were 5 AWESOME movies back to back.. I just decided to relax and watch TV after dinner yesterday.. Well, i guess i deserve it after working so hard for the past week.. I was frantically switching channels, watching Night at the Museum, Material Girls, Monster's Inc, Ever After and Bring It On! Spirit fingers!! Hahaz!

This week has been filled with studying, eating, cooking, studying and more eating.. Well, you need food to keep the brain productive right? And the best thing to eat is DARK CHOCOLATE TIM TAMS! Hahaz.. Also cooked pork rib and black bean soup on Thursday night and Bah Kut Teh last night..

I cannot wait to go home.. Just 6 more days and i will be back in the warm sunny island that i love so freaking much! Got so much things to do, pull my wisdom tooth, find a part-time job, bake, spend time with family and friends, Christmas shopping, wedding to attend, graduation ceremonies to attend, Standard Chartered 10km Marathon to run and many many more!! I am super looking forward to all the activities back home, because i KNOW it is my WELL-DESERVED break after this semester..

Okie, it just sucks when i have this thought lingering at the back of my head, asking me, ARE YOU SURE YOU HAVE FINISHED STUDYING?
This is really irritating me.. So i decided i shall give it a read through before i sleep, and another good recap tomorrow before my paper since it is at 230pm..

Wish me the bestest of luck my friends.. I SUPER need it just to survive the next 3 days.. Have put in my best.. Really i have.. And i really hope that it would reap the results.. =)

ARGH!! Exam STRESS!

OMG! My first paper is in 2 days time and i am still not in the exam mood lah!! Super nervous, excited and worried please!! Anyway Tuesday's paper is damn naoless lah, 20 Short Answer Questions, 2 Essay Questions (total 40 marks).. Short answer need to write 5 to 6 lines, only worth 1 MARK EACH.. WTH right?!

Then next week would be a super hectic week, cause i have 3 papers consecutively from Monday to Wednesday.. Sian to the max, but i should count my blessings that at least it is not all on the same day... So many memory work, so little time! And i thought that spotting questions was easier for us to study, but it is so wrong! With statistics, figures and trends to memorise, do you think it is easy huh!!! Hahaz.. All memory work this semester, next semester got to take Financial Management.. So not looking forward to it after seeing how it is terrorising Joyce, Ming Xian and Xue Ying... Hahaz! But no choice!!

Okie, so i decided to come online to just update my blog.. Have not gone online in 2 days because i do not see a need to.. No projects, i won't even tough my computer... Hahaz! But need to post my weekly blog update!!

This week, i have received feedback on my personality.. I am super thankful for such friends, to keep me on track so that i can be better.. As usual, the snappy Sheryl is back ( in Charity and Lisa terms).. Or my brother calls me the ANAL and Stubborn me.. Die ah, super thought it got better but i was so wrong.. My tone of voice is still very critical and fierce.. Got it from my dad lah.. Super need to change this bad habit of mine!! Need to stop being so critical, more understanding and just less fierce! Like my mum!!

So to those who read my blog, the next time when i snub you in the face unknowingly (which usually is the case), please DO TELL ME!! I NEED such constructive evaluation and feedback to improve and be better! If not i would be disastrous when i go into the working world.. Will be like offending the whole world lah..

To those that i have been so snappy and fierce to, i am TRULY sorry.. I did not mean to.. I really don't... Forgive me?

Okie, time to get back to reality.. Study!

So in 2 weeks time i am going home! In fact, it is 13 days time!! Whoah!! Super high and excited!! But now, i SUPER need to focus on my studies.. Need to memorise the information until overload! But i believe we will all do fine.. =) Must have a level of optimistic views, send out the right signals!! Positive influence!! WE WILL ALL DO WELL!! JIA YOU EVERYONE!! And BEST WISHES!!!

3 more weeks to go!

WHOAH! 3 more weeks and i am so freaking going home baby!! Super awesome ah!! But first, i super need to be focused and really START studying man! Have been slacking for 2 full weeks and not studied at all despite having 4 papers.. And ALL 4 papers are MEMORY work! OMG!

So this weekend has been SUPER DUPER EXCITING! And i mean LITERALLY! And i also drove in Australia for the very first time! Short journey lah, from school back to home.. But that is not the main focus, the main focus is about celebrating Joyce's birthday! We rented a car and drove to Scenic Rim! It is TRULY BEAUTIFUL lah!

Joyce drove the WHOLE way there, ensuring that we were being kept awake.. It was like a non-stop thrilling ride that would definitely keep you awake lah! It was super funny, dangerous, yet fun! Need to experience yourself then you will feel the thrill man! Hahaz! But not that bad lah, she has improved TREMENDOUSLY in just a few hours? Hahaz.. Really enjoyed myself! Yesterday was truly enjoyable lah! The company, the place, the jokes, the excitement and many more was just too good to be true.. It is such a pity that next semester i would not have the opportunity to have them around to have so much fun with le.. I am so going to miss you all!!

At night we went to the Wildlife Adventure at Gold Coast.. It started off with a buffet dinner and then went to see some animals such as koala, tasmanian devil, wombat, possums and many more! The night ended with a aboroginal performance where i learned a new hand sign which means "spirit of the family".. We all took a photo there and it was a truly memorable experience.. Although there was this SUPER SMART ALEC Singaporean kid that was SUPER irritating lah! Next time my kid like that, i sure slap sia!

Then today we went for DIM SUM! Hahaz! As usual, more food! Then we went to return the car and went to city to shop shop!

This week has passed super fast and it is high time i start studying lah.. Not enough time! With 4 papers and work to handle, i super need to be focused! But you can do it Sheryl! Just look forward to going home!! Let that be your source of motivation!

4 more weeks baby!

Another week has flew past and i am so super done with assignments for this semester!! Now i am just awaiting for the results and it is pretty scary i say.. Well, now it is time to get all geared up and start studying for the upcoming 4 papers that i have in 2 weeks time!

This week has been super fruitful.. With the final chionging of 2 group assignments, going to school for burger, taking of photos, going to King's Garden for AWESOME Chinese Food, baking 3 batches of biscotti, played the first Trivia game in my life, had awesome Passionfruit Lush Chocolate Cake and Vanilla and Chocolate Cheesecake, Brownie from Ming Xian and many many more! It has certainly been fulfilling week with much love, joy, food, happiness and more!!!

Yet again, i am at a point of lost, where i do not know what to do.. As in i have no direction with assignments being cleared, and i refuse to start studying for the exams till revision lecture is over.. Hahaz.. So i decided to bake, clean my room, pack my items and watch movies! Wha, i brought home boxes from work, and i packed some stuffs le.. Hahaz! I am like SO DAMN READY to fly back home now lah!!

I have to start shifting these items to put them somewhere le.. Hopefully Chen Pei's place got enough space for me.. Hahaz! So far got 3 boxes le, i think max will have 5 though.. Ooops! I am just so super excited to go home!! Yet, the thought of coming back here for the last semester is getting quite depressing.. Because i no longer have the Campus View babes with me.. It is going to be so different...

So today i gave them all a mini mouse soft toy each.. To thank them for the really great experience.. To thank them for being part of my journey.. Also to give them my best wishes as they embark on a new journey.. I am really wondering how next semester is going to be like.. No more dinner together, gossip sessions, desserts, bakings and more.. Oh my, it is getting quite scary... But at least got Huai An, so still got A Friend lah ah.. Hahaz.. Like so pathetic sia..

Oh wells, better than nothing i guess!! Should count my blessings, not rant about other stuffs.. Okies, i better head to bed soon.. I have got to work tomorrow and i am going to attempt to make Tiramisu! Wish me luck people!!

As i am awaiting the final proof reading from Poh Suan and Perlin, i shall blog about the lessons i learnt today... With the campus view babes, i have learnt many valuable lessons and am grateful to each and every of them...

Yiwen:
Today, she pointed out my super bad point, that i love to put in so much information that i end up stepping on my own toes.. This is so true when i write my essays, thinking that quantity is better than quality, this skimming through the points instead of picking a few vital ones to analyse and be focused about it..

I am super grateful that she has taken the effort to point this out to me.. This shows that she cares for me and genuinely wants me to improve in life.. Thank you for being so selfless babe, giving me valuable pointers for me to take in life... I am going to miss the valuable insights that you provide me with, always triggering my brain to think critically and not just skim through.. I am going to miss having the clutz around to be the joy of everyone.. I am going to miss your "你做么这样!" (hopefully this is correct).. I am going to miss your drive in life, because it inspires me to work harder..

Xue Ying:
The super awesome word processor (and i think we ALL can agree on that).. Thank you for taking time out of your super busy schedule to read my assignments, giving me pointers and helping to edit the language when my brain starts to shut down.. I am grateful for the really understanding and helpful you, to help me along my journey rather than let me die... Hahaz..

Thanks for the awesome music that adds life to the house.. Thanks for putting up with my weird habits if i have any (which i think i do).. Thanks for putting up with my super restlessness at time (most of the times i think? =p).. I am going to miss the music around the house when you graduate.. And although sometimes your laughter can get quite creepy when you watch your shows, i know i am going to miss them as i am used to them..

You are my food sharing buddy.. And when you turned up with the cappuccino wafer rolls, it just help to brighten my night.. I know this might sound damn lesbian, but sometimes, a little food surprise goes a long way! And you came at the right time when i was so frustrated with myself..

Thank you for being the really awesome and unique you, always so ever-ready to be my food sharing buddy.. From cheap arnotts biscuits to PREMIUM Tim Tams, i am really going to miss this special relationship of ours when you graduate... Thank you for hearing me rant about the whole wide world and being so bitchy when i know i should stop doing that.. Hahaz! Thank you for being my running buddy, coles buddy and the really early riser to start the day...

You are the 开心果of the group.. And the REALLY TALENTED AND AWESOME chef within all of us.. I really respect your philosophy of life, where it is too short, so we should just eat everything we want.. Thank you for putting up with this blind bat, sitting at the front of class, right smack in the middle cause i cannot see.. Thank you for teaching us how to make SUPER NICE Chawanmushi and ONIGIRI! Your love and understanding of the Japanese culture and cuisine is just so amazing! And you can speak and read their language too!! Like super wow!! 5 more weeks to home!

Okie! School for 2 more weeks, 1 study week, 2 weeks of exams and it is HELLO SUNNY ISLAND!! 5 more weeks till home and i am so looking forward to it!! WHOAH!!!

This week has been rather intensive for me, with loads of projects as usual.. After Thursday this week, i can take a small breather and say i am finally done with the assignments and projects for this semester! However, it is then time for me to start studying for the exams.. Oh my goodness, it is like a never ending cycle!! Hahaz.. But i should count my blessings that i have the opportunity to study overseas!

This week has been great with food too!! Had Tiramisu, Jelly, Sangria, AWESOME Viet Grilled Beef Noodle, Japanese Food, Veal Pasta, Passionfruit Yogurt Ice Cream and more!!! Full of food, now i am so full of fats! Hahaz! But life is too short, so i should just live it!! However, i have not been running for ages and i have a Standard Chartered race in December lah! I better start running after the final submissions this week.. No more excuses to say no time, because no more project i should have more time.. Need to run man, if not go back Singapore, the hot weather is going to kill me halfway through the run... Hahaz..

Oh yeah, tomorrow i am going for a field trip to the CASINO!! Hahaz! Awesome right! It is going to be my FIRST time leh!! So exciting! Hahaz! But before that, i got project meeting at 9am lah... My brains are so fried from the amount of work i have done today.. But i am thankful i have awesome project mates to help me along this journey...

This week has also been filled with emo mo mo sessions from various people.. Sometimes i wonder, why do people go into a emo mode? Don't they know that it affects others? I mean, i also go into emo mode, but i also don't know why i emo.. HAHAZ! I should stop being a b****, but be a nicer person to everyone.. However, sometimes it is so difficult when you are so irritated already.. Aiya, this week i kinda am a little short fused.. Should not be this way, need to kick away that habit!!

Okie, so i am scheduled to fly on the 21st November! Whoah!! I am already counting down since i do not know when.. I think i am the only nut that is so DESPERATE to go back home.. Hahaz.. Nothing wrong mah, miss home loh... Hahaz...

I need to sleep now lah.. Slept for 5 hours last night cause i was chionging project.. Oh wells, better sleep now so i can get about 7 plus hours of sleep hopefully.. Hahaz!!

Cannot wait to be home in Singapore where the sun is shining so ever brightly at me! Where all the love and good food can be found! Looking forward to my eating adventures back in Singapore with my cousin, Ian, Rennie and hopefully my poly babes got time too!! Then soon it is CHRISTMAS people!! WHOAH!!

Okie! This week has been really exciting with the release of results for some assignments and clearing two more projects off my hands.. So now i am left with 2 group projects and 4 exam papers... I think my brain is going to grow really big over the exams due to information overload.. Really hope that the lecturers will be generous with their tips... Hahaz!!

So today, i came home after camping over at Joyce Chen's place.. Went there to chiong our F&B project, which was rather productive i would say.. However, we still have loads of editing to do and the introduction, conclusion, executive summary and more more more!! So actually we are not close to done lah.. Sian..

I also got to start doing on my gaming group assignment.. Haiz, it is so tiring that everything is just piling up and i am seriously damn tired.. I really need a day to rest, recuperate and be rejuvenated to start again.. But then again, i do not even have that 1 day lah... My brain has been constantly thinking non-stop for the past months please... Need a big break.. It will come soon, and i know...

So, it is 6 more weeks till home baby!! Now i know my exam le, last day on the 18th, not sure if i should go back on the 20th or 21st.. Although it is just one day, the difference is rather big to me.. Hahaz! I need to faster decide if i want to settle my next semester's accommodation before leaving or come back here le then find.. Got pros and cons lah, either i pay empty rent but secure a venue, or save at least $1800AUD but risk to come here and find.. Aiya, so irritating ah!

Today i had my FIRST OFFICIAL FISH AND CHIPS in Australia.. Hahaz.. It is nice, but SUPER SMALL.. Stupid me, decide to take the snack pack instead of the original size.. Finish eating le still hungry... Then went shopping at Riverlink and bought many items!! I got myself a new dress and a cardigan, but the dress ah, i need to buy a proper inner wear to go with it.. Cause the cut quite low and weird.. See lah, this is what happens when you buy something on impulse..

Today ate ALOT of fruits lah.. High in sugar ah now.. Apple, Pear, Strawberry, Rock Melon, Banana and Prune! And cooked a BIG pot of soup for myself which is what i really need cause tonight is so FREAKING cold lah! Save an awesome portion for tomorrow!!

Today has basically been a slack day for me, in some way, but i can't seem to get projects off my mind.. It just keeps popping into my head and i know i have SO MUCH to do yet i refuse to get started again... I shall rest for the night, and get back to reality tomorrow..

6 more weeks to home Sheryl.. Persevere, press on and be optimistic.. You KNOW that you can do it.. So no use grumbling, instead seek a solution! I am watching CSI but my eyes are closing lah.. I should really go and sleep now.. Till the next entry, take care and love ya all!!

Oh my goodness!! Super back to back can! But i should be happy that at least i do not have 2 papers on the same day.. However, my last paper is at St Lucia at 8am in the morning lah! I seriously do not know how i am going to make my way to school.. Maybe i should stay at a friend's place.. Should try asking if i can take it at Ipswich.. I am the only nut among the Campus View babes to have 4 papers lah.. Sian to the max can! Somemore all is memorising work! ARGH!!

Just hoping that my lecturers and tutors are going to be generous with the tips.. Like SUPER generous... =) That would really make my day!

Then should i go back to Singapore earlier leh? Cause i got a job lobang and my parents would love it for me to go back earlier.. But then again this is the 'last' opportunity that the 6 Campus View babes would have the opportunity to travel... In such a dilemma now! ARGH!

YIPEE! Just got back my gaming essay and i got 26/30 for it! Yeah! This proves that it has been worth the intensive research babe! Yeah!!

Now awaiting results from 2 presentation, 1 Culture Essay, 1 Tourism & Leisure and Behaviour Essay (to submit tomorrow)...

Then need to start working on 2 group assignments, 1 Gaming and 1 Food & Beverage....

Then 4 papers to go..

AND IT IS HOME SWEET HOME BABY! As much as some might dread the end of the semester, the super loser me is actually looking forward to it! Hahaz..

Maybe cause i am really sick of working with useless people.. Sometimes, sticking with your own people is the best, but then again, what would you learn from sticking to the same group time and time again.. At least i can proudly say i have worked with different people and went through different shit... At the end of the day, as long as i have done my best, all WILL be fine...

October is here!!

Yipee! Finally October is here! Which means i am 1 month closer to home baby! Yeah!

I just came back from Sydney, okie maybe not just but this morning.. This week has been quite a hectic week.. With chionging of project, working and traveling.. Although traveling should be happy and relaxed, it did not really seem for my case.. Could not stop worrying about my projects and also did not have enough time to do loads of things.. Technically speaking, i only went for 2 full days, in which 1 and a quarter day was RAINING lah.. Dampen the mood only...

Wha, Sydney is a FOOD HEAVEN please! I had ALOT of food and i can feel so much bigger in size now lah! Hahaz! I am a sucker for Chinese cakes, and i bought s0o0o0o0o many and finished them all lah! Got Char Siew Pau, Hazelnut Cream Sponge Cake, Coffee Cake, Walnut Butter Cake, Mooncake and many more!!! Then also had AWESOME Macadamia Flavoured Pancakes at Pancakes on the Rocks..

Had my fix of SALMON!! Had not ate salmon in AGES and i 1 X GOOD ONE had a WHOLE cutlet of grilled salmon and shared salmon sashimi with Clement.. SHOIKNESS to the MAXIMUM please! Hahaz! Also had AWESOME chocolate at Max Brenner's Chocolate Cafe, Lindt Cafe and Taiwan Food!! See, all the food, how to not grow fat right?

But there was one that did not score so well, and that is the Hurricane Grilled Ribs.. I think it is SUPER OVERRATED lah! The pork rib was SO SMELLY! You know that disgusting pork smell? It was FILLED with that smell.. Then the Beef, no taste, not juicy.. NOT NICE! Paid $21 AUD for it, super not worth it.. I personally feel that Cafe Cartel's $13.90 SGD St Louis Pork Ribs can win this atas place hands down.. But oh well, i guess it is up to one's preference... Though if you ask me, i would NOT recommend you to go..

Okie, it is so time to get back to reality.. Got presentation this Wednesday and nothing has been finalised yet.. This Friday also got individual submission but i feel like a lost bird again.. Super depressing.. Then 2 more week from now got 2 group submissions coming up and we haven't started yet.. Oh my goodness! Enough time or not?! Hahaz.. Stress ah!!!

Once the project stress is over, time to start studying for exams.. WHA! Sian man.. Hahaz..

OH! But i have something to look forward to and that is the TAIWAN TRIP with my PARENTS! Awesome ah!! Muahahaz! Finally i get to go Taiwan! But now 90% confirm, so better not hold my hopes too high for now.. Hahaz.. Still, it is very exciting!

I have so much to blog, so much to comment, so much to write about.. But i am really very tired.. Woke up super early to catch my flight back this morning, then have been doing rubbish stuff till now.. Why do i always lack the discipline to get started and cracking leh? Haiyo, need to kick this habit..

Anyway, i am just glad that the Campus View babes are back! Like at least there is more sound, live and laughter around! =)

Okie! The mid-semester break is FINALLY here!! Though it is not really MIDWAY through, but better than nothing lah ah.. However, there are more submissions coming up and i desperately need to start on my work lah! Got Tourism Leisure Behaviour presentation on the 7th October, Tourism Leisure Behaviour individual essay due on 9th October, Food and Beverage group submission on 21st October and International Gaming Management group essay due on 22nd October! ARGH!!

On a more cheerful note, i am going to Sydney baby! Leaving on 1st October evening and coming back 4th October morning.. Technically speaking, i am only spending 2 full days in Sydney.. But oh wells, better than nothing right?! Hahaz! We are intending to go eat pancakes, seafood, see Chinatown, Opera House and many more exciting adventures! Muahahaz!

This week has been interesting.. Met Mr Poh and gang on Friday.. Had a awesome chicken burger for lunch in school, then went to Kai Wen's place before heading to South Bank.. Had the chocolate filled banana which was REALLY GOOD and Rum n Raisin Cold Rock ice-cream! SHOIKNESS to the max please! =)

Then Saturday had project meeting with Joyce Chen to start the day.. Seriously, it has been a loooooooooooong time since i felt like i was doing a project as a group even though there was only two of us.. Hahaz! Then went to work, slogged my ass off as one of my colleagues was HAPPILY chit-chatting lah! Then came home, showered, wanted to cook but my tummy started to have this cramped feeling.. Wha lau, i tahan from 8pm to 12am until i cannot take it le, then went to ask Ang Wei Qian for help.. He was nice enough to help me contact Dylis and they both escorted me to the Ipswich Hospital..

Then the real nightmare started.. Went to the A&E, had to register, take blood pressure then was given 2 panadol cause they are PAIN-KILLERS.. Then i was asked to go out and wait.. Then I was freaking in pain for 4 another hours and gave up waiting for the doctor.. They say due to BUSY NIGHT, that is why so slow.. NAH BEH, I SWEAR THEY ONLY HAD LIKE 6 PEOPLE INFRONT OF ME LAH! BUSY WHAT SHIT?! This is going to come up to $185 AUD, for 2 panadol, 1 cup of water and 4 hours of waiting!

I have concluded, the doctors here are 没有用的家伙! This made me miss Singapore even more, appreciating the wonderful efficiency and professionalism that we have.. Super disappointed lah..

So now, i have 8 more weeks till i am home! I am going to start counting down again because i SERIOUSLY cannot wait to go back home! I miss my family, friends and just the wonderful small yet powerful country! I am trying to find reasons to like this place.. I seriously need to find some to make my life better...

Jia you Sheryl.. Just channel your energy and focus on your academics now.. Get your projects and presentation done up and well, cause you know you can do it..

Meanwhile, take care my family and friends.. I just miss you all so much! CANNOT WAIT TO GO HOME!!!

Officially 21 years old!

Today has been memorable and emotional for me...

First and foremost, i want to thank all my family member who have put up with me for the past 7665 days that i have existed on planet earth! I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful family and no words can express how greateful i am to all of you!!!

Secondly, it is to thank all my friends from Springfield to Temasek Polytechnic to now... Life has been super exciting with all of you unique people in my life!! Thank you all so so so much!!

Most Importantly for today (Other than my parents and brother):
Joyce, Ming Xian, Shuk Wai, Xue Ying and Yi Wen! THANK YOU BABES FOR GOING THROUGH SO MUCH EFFORT TO PLAN THIS 21ST BIRTHDAY ACTIVITY FOR ME TODAY! So sorry if i keep niam-ing that such a waste that 2009/2009 is such a nice date yet i cannot be back in Singapore.. The activity we did today, IT IS PRICELESS LAH!! I am super grateful to have you babes here.. And i know i can get quite bad sometimes, i apologise for that.. Sorry if i have ever offended you babes in any way! But i am super duper satisfied and happy with the plan that you babes have come out with.. Super touched in fact!

So it has been super emotional as i am OFFICIALLY AN ADULT! Although i do not have my family and super close friends to celebrate with me physically, i know they do spiritually.. Moreover, i am surrounded with a group of unbelievable babes that have went ALL OUT to arrange such wonderful activities for me! WHAT MORE CAN I ASK FOR?!

BIGGEST SURPRISE EVER!

Today has been REALLY REALLY EXCITING! It is the BESTEST way to celebrate the last day of being at age 20! With the help from the Campus View babes (Joyce, Ming Xian, Xue Ying and Yi Wen), my dear son managed to give me the BIGGEST SURPRISE EVER!

The day started all fuzzy, with me being told to bring this and that, then we took a train to Fortitude Valley and had brunch at Campos Cafe.. IT WAS AWESOME LAH! I had a 4 stack ricotta and buttermilk pancake with vanilla mascrapone, maple syrup and topped with orange compote.. I MANAGED TO FINISH 2 and a 1/2 THICK PANCAKES LAH! With more taxing of food from one another.. OMG, THE FOOD IS REALLY REALLY GOOD! We really ate to our fill!

Then we walked aimlessly to my next surprise, which is that we rented a car! Then we drove down to Astor Metropole hotel where I THOUGHT we were going to stay there.. I SERIOUSLY DID LAH! Until we kinda were waiting aimlessly in the lobby that i kinda figured out maybe we were not staying there, but meeting someone instead.. Then i was told to go out and i saw these two ladies that looked REALLY familiar, but i just cannot remember... UNTIL I TURNED TO MY RIGHT, OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SERIOUSLY COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES PLEASE!!!! IT WAS KHAIRUL! RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES! MY DEAR GOD SON WAS REALLY PHYSICALLY IN FRONT OF ME!!!!

Out of joy and shock, i cried.. Gave each other a good hug to start our exciting day.. HAHAZ! It was REALLY a SURPRISE LAH! I cannot imagine how much it must have cost him to take a plane here JUST TO CELEBRATE MY BIRTHDAY WITH ME!! THANK YOU SON!! No words can really truly express how happy, shocked, touched, excited and all the positive feelings you can ever find in the dictionary i am lah!

The plan was to go to DreamWorld, but due to time constraints, we changed our plans to Mt Cootha instead.. Went up there, enjoyed 2 scoops of ice-cream in the breeze while chatting, catching up with one another and stuff.. It was just so unbelievable! There were some points of time i felt like i was in Singapore, that is why Khairul is with me.. Then i would snap back and be like "OMG, he REALLY flew down to bring home to me!"

What more can i ask for? I am so blessed to have such a thoughtful, loving and AWESOME son lah please.. I am so so so happy!! Brought him around the city and then headed back to his hotel.. Then went for dinner with his real mum and grandma.. We went to eat Korean fod where we ordered so much and ate to our fill.. I SWEAR I HAVE NOT EATEN SO MUCH FOR SO LONG LAH! My stomach is still bursting with food! Then after that i brought them around to South Bank and we headed back to the hotel where Xue Ying and babes came to pick me up to come home!

Before i left, i hugged Khairul's mum, grandma and him.. It was a short hug, but it was really so warm, it felt like home.. Promised them that i will visit when i am back in Singapore.. I am truly blessed to have known people like them, and i am truly truly touched..

Son, i really do not know how much i can thank you.. I really do not know what else i can say.. I really do not know how to express how elated i am to have you here today.. To have you in my life.. All i can say are three simple words: I LOVE YOU... I love the way you cheer me up when i am down, i love the way you entertain me with your stories, i love the way you look me in the eye when we talk, i love the way you make me feel when i am with you, i love the way you are so natural with me and vice versa, i simply love being with you and the wonderful person that you are.. Thank you so much son.. I am sorry to not be able to go DreamWorld with you, but no worries, i am sure we will have many more opportunities where we can travel together and have more fun! After all, when we are together, does it even matter where we are?! Hahaz!

Campus View babes, i will dedicate an entry for you babes tomorrow, after my exciting journey that starts at 730am in the morning.. But for now, i just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to you all, for helping Khairul in planning this surprise, making it the BESTEST, MOST AWESOME and simply just so WONDERFUL way to celebrate the last day before officially turning into an adult! OH MY GOODNESS! I just love the number 20! Not only does my birthday fall on that day of the month of September, i am going to attend a wedding of my God Cousin on the 20th December! YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! SO LOOKING FORWARD TO IT NOW LAH!! Even though it is still erm, a few months away.. Hahaz!

Okie, so another week has passed and i have been busy with school projects as usual.. Once again, i have let school work take over my social life and i missed out on my ONE AND ONLY Riverfest.. But at least i managed to join in the fun by watching it on television? Hahaz! Loser lah, but i think it is better than nothing...

It is so ridiculous that the lecturers and tutors here do not sing in the same tune.. It is like one say this, while the other say that.. Because of such miscommunication, it has lead to me REWRITING my essay for the BLOODY FOURTH TIME lah.. Irritated and pissed, but i shall just suck it up, do my best and finish it asap..

This week has been rather fast, with going to Sizzler on Tuesday to meet the marketing director as we are doing a project for them.. Had a great salad buffet after meeting him and then headed home... Other than that and going to St Lucia on Friday for my lesson and presentation meeting, i have pretty much been stuck in Ipswich, in my room, school or working at the cafe.. So this week not very exciting, nothing much to blog about...

Now for happy things in life!!

TODAY, LIKE NOW, is the 21st Birthday of my bestie Charity Tan!!! Same as my situation, she has a submission 1 day AFTER her birthday, which means that you will super be worrying about the submission BEFORE AND DURING your birthday! Hahaz!

But babe, cheer up, cause WE WILL PULL THROUGH! And with an awesome bestie LISA by your side, everything is going to be AWESOME AH! Hahaz! Wishing you a very happy 21st babe, i hope you like the card that i sent to you.. I miss you and Lisa loads, and as usual, i am counting down every week cause i know i am closer to home... So best wishes and jia you yeah!! You and Lisa are always being loves, missed and thought by me...

My brain is super super duper tired from thinking and churning out words to form sentences.. It is really blank and i think it desperately needs rest.. Oh wells, working tomorrow from 1130am to 2pm, think i better go sleep before i start to be a blur cock..

SINGAPORE: 366 couples in Singapore tied the knot on Wednesday, the ninth day of the ninth month of 2009.

The number is the second highest in a decade and five times as many compared to an average day. It is less than the current record of 765 couples set on 7 July, 2007.

Newly-wed couples like Simon Wong and Jennifer Lim chose 09/09/09, hoping that the date would bring longevity to their weddings and lives.

The number nine is considered auspicious for the Chinese, as it sounds similar to 'jiu, jiu', the Chinese word for 'long-lasting'.

Apart from the nice ring to the date 09/09/09, there are practical reasons for getting a marriage certificate on this particular date.

"It is easy for him (the groom) to remember. So, no reason for him to forget any (wedding) anniversary gift," said Jennifer Lim.

Even though the date coincides with the Hungry Ghost Month on the lunar calendar, many did not see that as an issue.

"For the lunar seventh month, we don't consider it a concern because this is not a Chinese ceremony. We'll do it by next year," said groom Chua Yih Puoh.

But the Registry of Marriages said the potential record-breaking date to watch out for is the 20th of September - written as 20-09-2009 on paper.

It also coincides with the eighth month of the lunar calendar - the number eight is considered by the Chinese as auspicious. More than 600 couples have already registered to get hitched on that day.

09-09-09 is also popular with parents welcoming their newborn. At least three hospitals said they delivered double the usual number of babies.

For Mr and Mrs Buay, who coincidentally also celebrated their sixth year of marriage on Wednesday, their bundle of joy is perhaps the best anniversary gift. And as if the series of nines on Wednesday isn't enough, their little one was born at exactly 9.09am!

Raffles Hospital said of the 18 babies born there on Wednesday, nine were induced through Caesarean upon the parents' request.

20/09/2009, is a Sunday, also Hari Raya Puasa falls on that day, it is MY 21st BIRTHDAY.. But, i am not able to celebrate it in Singapore.. I know i cannot do anything about it, and i know whining would not help at all.. But tell me seriously, isn't it such a wonderful date?

If only i was in Singapore, i would hold one hell of a party filled with food, fun and booze.. Although i am not going to drink... Oh wells, this is life right? It does not always go your way... I should count my blessings, that in my lifetime, i have such an opportunity to have such a beautiful date to mark my 21st birthday.. Even if there are no celebrations or whatsoever, at least it did happen in my lifetime.. And such things happen once in a lifetime for some, none at all for many.. So suck it up Sheryl.

Oh wells, since i cannot do anything, then i hope all my fellow 20th September birthday mates are able to have a memorable birthday then! Especially to Miss Wu Ruo Ting, Devane and Muslim. =)

Month of SEPTEMBER!

YEAH! SEPTEMBER IS HERE! MY FAVOURITE MONTH! Mainly cause my birthday falls in this month! HAHAZ!

1 week of September has passed, and yet i missed by bestie's 21st Birthday Celebration.. Haiz.. I guess this is part and parcel of studying overseas away from home, family and friends.. But oh wells, there are positive things to look forward to in life! So this month, is DEFINITELY a good month for me cause on the 2nd September, i had s0o0o0o0o0o many awesome good stuff!

So it all started on 2nd September, in the morning i received a call, that i got the cafe job! Thanks Joyce for telling me about the lobang and introducing me to the cafe! I am OFFICIALLY working in Australia! Going to make the best out of this opportunity to learn as much as i can and gain as much exposure and experience that i can! Then! After that i had a gaming lesson and was given a scratch-it ticket cause i answered a questions being asked by my tutor.. AND I WON $4!! Hahaz! Okie lah, although small amount, BUT STILL MONEY LEH! What a great way to start the month! Then at night went for this MILE event held by the school.. And then there was this draw for the iPod.. And i am on a lucky strike.. So i dumped my name in.. And they called Shirley a few times, but i was busy talking to my tutor, so i kinda felt rude to go up and ask them about it.. Cause you know, people often call Sheryl as Shirley.. HAHAZ!. But oh wells, nevermind then... Wishful thinking of mine... So here are some pictures that we took!

Then Friday i started my first day of work! It was not bad, reminds me of Petit Cafe and Culinary Science in TP days.. Was doing stewarding lah.. Hahaz! Managed to learn some stuff and live Charity's dream of pushing buttons on the cash register.. HAHAZ! So i worked on Saturday as well and tomorrow i am going to work again! Muahahaz!

Oh yah! Have been making myself AWESOME muesli, ham sandwiches, fruit salad and improvised instant noodles for breakfast/lunch/dinner!

Today has been a SUPER hungry day for me! Hahaz! Ate biscuit, tim tam, bread, grapes, pear, orange and a really satisfying ice cream after the hardwork of washing and hanging the clothes..

OH! I also bought another plant from the Sunday Market this morning when i went with Ming Xian.. Then today, i also attempted and suceeded in cooking chicken porridge and BEE HOON! Hahaz! See the picture and you will know how delicious it is! Xue Ying eat until so unglam! =p

So, it has been a rather interesting and exciting week for me.. With more submissions coming and me busy with everything else except getting my work done.. HAHAZ! I so need to find the drive that i had last semester.. But i always remember what my brother tell me.. Results are just a factor, enjoying the whole process is more important.. And this semester, i have really been able to do more, with bakings, cookings, picnics, steamboat, attempting new dishes and many more.. So far, it has been a really exciting semester for me..

And so with the Brisbane Festival coming this week and the beautiful day of 09/09/09, many more exciting adventures awaits me.. So till then, take care and keep an eye for my next post!

Tuesday: Woke up early as i had to meet my lecturer.. Showered and startedt to freak out as i was having rash all over my limbs.. Then went to school, met my lecturer to discuss my F&B submission that i did not do so well.. Then i went to the library intending to do work, but started to scratch like a mad dog with fleas!! Cannot take it le went to see the school nurse whom also got a shock of her life! HAHAZ! Then she gave me some medicine to eat, referred me to the doctor.. So Aaron was kind enough to give me a ride and YI Wen went with me!!

STUPID SHIT! I am allergic to BANANA PRAWNS.. LIKE WTH LAH!! That is what triggered such a big reaction.. Then ah, i have to say, the doctors here, i really question their qualifications lah.. Allergy can be skin reaction, don't need to be swollen mucus glands then suffocate what... Waste $50...

Wednesday: Had lessons from 9am to 2pm, then had the SUPER recommended BURGER by Joyce from school! So i had a BEEF BURGER and it was AWESOME LAH!! $5.40 for it cause i added cheese.. DAMN SHOIK! As you can see from the photos below! =)


Thursday: Did nothing much.. Wrote my essay which has too much words now.. So irritating...

Friday: Had lesson in St Lucia till 2pm.. Then went to meet Ming Jun and Ancella to collect my bridge to brisbane marathon race pack.. Lucky me, had his help.. The place was really some ulu pandan place lah.. And the race pack, only got race info and a pair of shoelace.. LOSERVILLE... Then went for a cup of good aromatic coffee to chillax after getting the race pack..


Then night time i met Xue Ying, went for nice awesome bubble tea!! First time try, Winter Melon and Lemon Green Tea with Aiyu Jelly.. SHOIKNESS TO THE MAX! Also, I wear nice nice to school for first time leh! =)


Then we headed to this Singapore Buzz event where Hossan Leong was being invited to come and perform.. Met Benedict at the hotel.. HOSSAN LEONG IS SUPER FUNNY AND TALENTED LAH! He is really good please! So honoured to have went for the event.. Then after that there was buffet food! WHA! Got Nasi Briyani, Nasi Goreng, Sambal Belachan, Tau Kua with Beans in Chilli Sauce, Rojak, Gula Melaka Sago and MANY MORE! DAMN NICE PLEASE AND IT IS FREE!! Hahaz!!


Saturday: Continued to work on my gaming essay.. Which i seriusly am very pek chek cause i got too much words and info.. Then i started to pack my stuff and get ready for my race on Sunday.. Was heading to Chen Pei's place for dinner.. So Chen Pei whipped up a GOOD MEAL for me lah, with just a microwave! AMAZING! Once again, please look at the pictures!

Sunday: BRIDGE TO BRISBANE Run 2009! Did a 10km event with my TP coursemate, Grace and her 3 other males friends.. It was amazing lah.. Got people dress up as clowns, star wars the white colour army, batman, Flintstone, Mario and MANY MORE! The weather was going easy on us, with nice breeze and not too scorching sun.. Wha, FIRST time i run ah, guys never pang sei the girls leh! In fact they ran with us for the WHOLE 10km lah! Really eye opener! Really proud of Grace that she has completed her first official marathon! =)

Then i came home, had lagsane for lunch, then had nice orange and strawberry.. Decided to cook sago green bean soup as requested by Ming Xian.. Even though the weather was hot, i think the green bean soup felt refreshing in someway, like internally.. Hahaz.. Then i went to shower, while waiting for my hair to dry i went to eat yogurt and apple.. Hahaz.. Hair dry le slept for 2 hours.. Woke up being hungry and cooked dinner.. Hahaz.. Today simple sleep and eat man... Never do work at all lah.. OOPS! Hahaz!

So now, another week has passed.. And i want to sleep le..My eyes are burning man.. Sleep early, tomorrow wake up early to do work.. Cannot slack anymore le..

OH MY GOODNESS!! The lightning is damn bright and the thunder is damn loud! Going to storm at Ipswich! And I AM HUNGRY AGAIN! Hahaz... Shall go sleep le.. Uploading so many photos to use up my internet.. HAHAZ!
